Basic requirements
Allow for a 1-hour session to complete the test, providing extra time if necessary for students who haven’t finished.
The test is designed to take 35-45 minutes for most students, though it may take longer for older students or those who need additional support.
Ensure students stay focused throughout the session to maintain the accuracy of results.
To Achieve Best Results
Seating Arrangements
Students should be seated with at least 1.5 meters of space between them to minimise distractions.
Separation of Friends
Friends should be seated separately to avoid unnecessary interaction and maintain focus.
Timing
Conduct tests in the morning before lunch and earlier in the week for optimal performance, as students are generally more alert during these times.
Extra Time
Allow adequate time for any students who do not finish within the allotted time to ensure they can complete the test without feeling rushed.
Quiet Environment
Tests should be conducted under strict exam conditions with no talking and a quiet environment.
Device Requirements
Browser Compatibility: Use Chrome for the best experience, but our platform also works on Edge, Firefox and Safari.
Device Type: Desktop computers or Chromebooks are recommended. If using an iPad, ensure that a keyboard attachment is available for the student.
Special Considerations
For students aged 7-9, ensure that a Teaching Assistant (TA) is present to provide one-on-one attention, especially for those unfamiliar with using a mouse or keyboard.
If a student shows signs of anxiety or difficulty, provide reassurance and additional support to help them stay on task.
Monitor the testing environment closely to ensure it remains free of distractions and that all students are able to focus on the task at hand.
Handling Technical Difficulties
If technical issues arise, such as loss of internet connection or accidental disconnection, students should refresh the page and press the exit button in the corner to resit the specific scale they were working on.
How to Query Results
If something in the results seems unusual or doesn’t add up, you can easily query it by clicking the designated button and sending an email directly to our support team. We encourage this feedback as part of our commitment to continuous improvement.
If you spot something that doesn’t look right, you can request that a student has their credit restored and they can take the assessment again (without having to purchase an additional credit).
Why We Ask Questions at the Beginning
The questions asked at the beginning of the test are crucial for increasing the predictability of our model. If something doesn’t align with expectations, we use this data to investigate further, ensuring that our assessments remain accurate and reliable.
